The sponsors, vendors, performers and the army of volunteers who produced the 2016 Herndon Labor Day Festival no doubt worked up a sweat during the 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. event, but for the festival goers it wasn’t hard work to have a lot of fun.

Herndon Labor Day Festival, an annual one-day outdoor street festival featuring live music all day, Virginia wineries, local craft brews, a craft show, sponsorship gallery, and a variety of food vendors will be held on Monday, Sept. 5, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Downtown Herndon and Herndon Municipal Center Lawn, 777 Lynn Street, Herndon.

‘Big’ at Herndon High

Herndon Grand Musical Theatre Experience presents “Big The Musical.”

The Grand Musical Theatre Experience returned to Herndon High School with a production of “Big The Musical” by John Weidman, music by David Shire and lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. Cast of the musical performed at a July Herndon Friday Night Live event on the Town Green. The show is directed by Morganne Davies with musical direction by Dana Van Slyke, and is based upon the 1988 motion picture "Big" written by Gary Ross and Anne Spielberg.
