On Tuesday, Aug. 6, during National Night Out 2024, officers from the Fairfax County Police Department, those from local town and city jurisdictions, and the county sheriff's deputies visited as many neighborhood gatherings as possible.

They engaged in dialogue, built relationships, and celebrated the strength of local communities focused on crime prevention and community building.

National Night Out is held every year on the first Tuesday of August. The event promotes positive police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie with the intention of making every neighborhood safer.
