The Herndon Pride Festival debuted on Saturday, June 8. Sponsors and supporters like the Town of Herndon; Rotary Satellite Club of Herndon-Reston, People in Action; Herndon Friends Meeting; NOVA PRIDE; Dranesville District Supervisor James N. Bierman Jr.; Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation; and Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services all deemed the day a success.
Anita Velveeta, locals, Vanya and The Egomaniacs, and Ukulele Death Squad performed, and Nu Pop Entertainment and Caro Serrano, Jazz, and Bossa NOVA capped the festivities, which featured an outdoor art installation by John Hartt.
